Although I reside near Pittsburgh, PA, I am originally from what is considered the "Leatherstocking" area of Upstate (Central) NY or the Mohawk Valley. My creative spark started while I was very young. I began singing at 3, drawing (artistically, that is!) at 8, writing poetry and doing calligraphy at 16 and working with jewelry at 18. Decades later, I am still doing it all! After I was forced (due to a serious auto accident) to quit my full time professional job back in January of 2005, I then made the choice to begin a business working on the jewelry and calligraphy full-time. This was so I could work at my own pace and therefore, avoid any further difficulties with my injury. Besides -- who wouldn't want to work at doing something they love? Hiring a good friend of mine to design my web site, was the first move that I made. We put our heads together and named it Creative Inspirations by Lisa. Now, I am selling my services and items on three or four different web sites, doing art and craft shows all over the tri-state (PA, OH and WV)area and am busy doing custom jobs on a consistent basis!
