This is some very gruesome couture by British menswear designer Katie Eary for her Spring 2010 collection. If someone wore this on October 31, I’d think they are the bomb! But if they wore this on November 1, I’d think they’re a lunatic. Why are my eyes drawn to the fur? Fur on a man is like heels on a baby- not right! You have to appreciate that it’s anatomically correct (I assume). Sort of like this be@rbrick. If Chewbacca were a pimp , this Gold Ghetto Chewbacca would be beyond perfect. Check out Katie’s website- I actually love the union jack trousers and the British guard look. Hawt!
Tomorrow is my most favorite holiday ever! Why? Because it’s the only day in the year where no one points, stares or laughs at me! Sooooo………Happy Halloween!

awesome,
bad ass,
hats

Alyce Benevides and Jaqueline Milles of Knit-Head made me this hat a few years ago. They let me choose the colors, which was cool because I love bright, colorful things. And of course, the Union Jack makes it one of my most favorite hats in my hat collection. (Yes, I have a department store hat rack in my closet- what?) Every time I wear it, I get massive compliments from cool people and bewildered stares from old people (probably wondering how the fupe to knit that for their grandkid).
The story goes that Knit-Head made Martin Gore of Depeche Mode a mohawk hat and quickly became the hat Gore would wear on the ‘Touring the Angel’ Tour. Not bad for a couple of punk rock knitters! Order your own color combo at Knit-Head.
PS: That is Mr.Marmar in my arms- isn’t he Haaaaaandsome! And yes, I cover my furniture - no , I’m not 80.

bleh,
jewelry

British designer Hinks Taylor’s collection is a great combination of the demure 1950s and the regal Elizabethan Age. I would totally wear this although, I wish they were in brighter colors… then again, they could look a little like a JC Penney find. I don’t know… my fashion radar is a little off today. Come to think of it, I would only wear the ring in the first photo and the collar in the second photo. See! The accessories distract me from the outfit- it’s really the accessories that I like. That Union jack ring does it- it’s like it hypnotizes me into liking FUG or mediocre clothing. I swear I’ll buy anything with that flag on it (click here for proof-YES that’s me!)…. damn you union jack!

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac showed his Spring 3001 collection (yes, he’s already designed that far ahead) not with malnourished models , but with lego people! If that is not genius, I don’t know what is! Not only are the models lego people, but the audience is lego people, too! Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Tally are in the front row as lego people along with a lego devil. His collection was rock inspired with slogans like ’smells like teen spirit’ and ‘no fear no tears’ , as well as the union jack. The video, directed by Fabrice Pathier, was in conjunction with his latest collection. Here are a few photos from the none lego people fashion show (spring 2009):
