awesome,
cool,
cute

I came across these fantastic design ideas that I thought would be a shame not to share with your ass. My favorite is the first photo of the purple tables making an entire wall unit. It looks so whimsical and cute. And I bet you could find furniture like that at Sal’s Boutique. You would just have to saw down a few legs, paint it and bolt it to the wall. Actually, that sounds like a lot of effing work. Shoes are always a dilemma with me. At the moment, my shoes are on the floor of my walk-in closet, so they are vulnerable to cat vomit and piss ( The guilty is Miss Darcheen). I already found a pair of my Moschino kitten heels covered in an expelled hairball. How ironic. Anyway, the hutch would solve that problem. That book night stand is perfect for Sarah Palin. Who reads books anyway? I threw in a belt side table for all the gimps out there.

Vivienne Westwood’s Spring 2010 collection looked like something the local lady hobo would wear after raiding the Salvation Army’s rejects. This was a mess all around. I wish Viv would get back to doing beautiful gowns without the busy fabrics and jumbled ensembles. I didn’t see any corsets in her collection, which for is basically what she’s famous for. My motto is ‘Do what you’re good at’ and also ‘Don’t eff with something that doesn’t need to be effed with.’ Like my dentist keeps hounding me to pull this one baby tooth I have. Yeah, I still have one baby tooth. Weird, but true. But, it doesn’t hurt me , it doesn’t look too FUG (I assume) and I still can eat food comfortably. So why pull it!? Anyway, the point is: Vivienne needs to refocus on the gown and stop with all the BS prints. She needs to ‘simmer-down now’ as Cheri Oteri would say!

bleh,
prada

Prada for me is either a hit or complete miss. I think my favorite collection was the Spring 2008 with all the fairies and stuff. This season, is okay, not really anything to write about ( yet , I’m still writing - go figure). The only interesting thing in the whole collection was the ‘chandelier ‘ skirt which, seriously, looks like a light fixture at West Elm. And the shoes are totally DIY with a glue gun, loose chandelier crystals (or maybe acrylic!) and stripper shoes. Wait… I think already made those shoes in the late ’90s. So, with the power of ’save draft’- I checked my closet for those shoes and apparently, I donated them to Sal’s years ago! Somewhere, in North Providence, RI , some chick has the government cheese version of this season’s Prada chandelier shoes! Hilarious.

hella fug

Chloë Sevigny released a limited edition (at least the FUG is less spread around the world) collection again in conjunction with Opening Ceremony. I keep asking myself , ‘where have I seen these pieces before?’ and then I remember it looks like the rejects from Sal’s boutique. It also reminds me of the unfortunate girl in high school who eats tuna sandwiches for lunch. I could probably recreate each of these looks for less than $2 (granted we use the $1 per lb. method at many thrift shops). At least Sevigny, isn’t making Vincent Gallo movies anymore and it keeps the kid off the streets.

hella fug,
marc jacobs

Thanks to Marc Jacobs, the horrid 1980s shoulder pads, pleated pants and ballon skirts are back. I thought these looks were banished to your local Salvation Army forever, -but, NO- Marc decided to regurgitate it back on the runways. The looks above are actually the better looks out of the whole show. Go to Style to view the entire show and thank me later for sparing you your eyes. You’ve been warned. Anyway, looking at this collection methinks that Marc was watching a Dynasty marathon whilst listening to Klaus Nomi and eating Rolos. (MMMM, ROLOS) Here’s a photo of my favorite Carrington (she’s wearing Gold (the gaudiest one of all, of course!).
