During Stockholm Fashion’s Week, Bosnian designer Lamija Suljevic showed her latest collection with heavy influences by gypsies, the last Russian Dynasty, and dolls (my FAVORITE!). The heavy brocade and embroidery allow for a structured shape that makes it look so elegant and dignified. This somehow reminds me of Bjork’s album cover for ‘Homegenic’. Both look like uncomfortable Royals looking to take a dump before the next feast- Hawt! Or they just look like living dolls. These dresses are perfect for that boring dinner party. You could stash an iPod, Vogue magazine, Reese’s Pieces (E.T candy) , a couple kittens, and a pot of tea under those skirts. That’s all I need for a nice evening- I know, I’m such a cheap date.

This laptop cover is as cool as the Snow White Skin for a Mac! It houses a MacBook Pro and MacBook in a hard leather bound faux book. This is perfect way to foil a robber in your house. Imagine an old-timey library with real books (what are those?) and this masterpiece amongst them. It may be the only ‘book’ you’ll ever read! It’s called a ‘Book Book’ and retails for about $79. I would get this, but I’m pretty happy with my Monster sleeve. I bet they’ll come out with one for the iPad (ugggh- awful name). This could be a steampunkers dream.

Since I was about 13, I had collected every issue of American Vogue until about five years ago when I had to move to the West coast from the East Coast. To save a huge amount of space, I cut out the pictures I liked and put them in scrapbooks for references for when I’m feeling creative and want to whip out my glue gun and rhinestones. Here are some of my favorite images that shaped my style throughout my teens. I used to recreate some of the looks on a vintage store/ thrift shop budget way before Todd Oldham and Cindy Crawford of MTV’s House of Style made it cool. Let’s just say, I smelled like old lady ass most of the time. Here were some of my looks that I wore to high school:

The Museum of the History in Science in Oxford, England (so fitting, because of the old-timey ambiance in Oxford) is showing some peculiar Steampunk art from now until February 2010. It’s the world’s first Steampunk art exhibition, so steampunkers are pissing themselves right now. So, if you see hot air balloons and people with monocles flocking to Oxford, you’ll know why. Besides the strange, yet cool objects above, expect to see more fupe stuff like clockwork hearts. This is one of those things where I wish I could go just to people watch. I would sit in a corner with a spot of tea and just entertain myself with watching people who are ‘wax lyrical‘ (nothing to do with a ‘Brazilian wax’, sadly) for Steampunk. ( I just spoke British! ) But seriously… this looks like a cool one.

YEAH!!!!! WE’VE GOT PHOTOS!!!! THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HUNG IN THERE WITH ME… LET’S CELEBRATE WITH A TAB COLA!!
PS- MY OLDER POSTS MAY NOT HAVE PHOTOS BECAUSE I HAD TO DELETE THEM FOR SPACE REASONS. DON’T CRY.. IT’S OK. I’M OK….. I think…..
British brand, Color by Numbers, has taken the lego obsession to another level. So we have Lego eyewear, Lego runway shows, Legoland, Lego joooree… what’s next a Lego dildo?? Wait, yes… here it is. That was insane, wasn’t it? I bet the dude (you know it was a guy) that made that has SERIOUS issues- like more issues than Vogue magazine (as one of my friends would say). Anyway, these wallets are are a good idea for carrying your ipod or carrying your ‘bidness’ cards. They’re about 20 British pounds ( how do you make those fancy L’s for BP??)… which is…well, you know. .. blah, blah, blah, to lazy to convert…

Artist Patrizio di Renzo work is a beautiful sight of the haute couture of the 1980s coming to life. It’s like Dynasty had a baby with a mime from the Venetian (or Spy vs. Spy) and it created a Japanese Grace Jones! STELLAR! Anyway, I would totally wear these black and white outfits here. It would be like Where’s Waldo. So, Serge Lutens did a Shiseido ad campaign back in the 1980s. Do you think Patrizio took inspiration from this? Check out the sickle on her finger! She ready to cut a b*tch up! I want that.

Before we begin, get all the vomit out from last night’s debauchery. Mmmkay…
Photographed by Mark Seliger, Vogue Germany did a spread last year with Minnie Mouse inspired fashions. I thought I’d start the new year out with some Disney. Why? Because it’s the happiest place on earth especially for that ho, Minnie. What IS her job description? Mickey’s resident ho and Goofy’s fag hag… So you gotta give her props. Anyway, when I was a wee kid (3-ish) I had a Minnie Mouse dress that I wore to death. Click here to see my toddler ass. Okay, so not much has changed and I still wear bows on my head. Anyway, these photos can give you some inspiration for fashion in 2010… hopefully, it won’t be as crappy as 2009.

Spats have made a comeback thanks to the Steampunk trend. Here are my 2 favorite Spat makers, Ashes & Empires ( the gothy ones) and German designer, Maide (the Victorian ones). Spats are a great way to cover your cankle or disguise your fugliest shoes. I dig that. I was doing some intense research ( I googled ’spats’) and found that they are still worn in the military around the world. I also found that molten metal pourers wear spats to keep the hot, liquid metal off their feet. My intense research also found that Johnny Depp in Benny and Joon wore them, as well. With those three pieces of information, there’s a joke in there somewhere… I just can’t find it right now.

and OSH KOSH B’GOSH! Jean Paul Gaultier’s Spring 2010 collection was a mix of ’corseted vintage glamour meets a chola(“My brows are dark, my lips are lined. Baby boy, I’m how a chola’s DEFINED! “ ) who wants to cut a b*tch’. Those satin overalls are kind of cool, though. I remember I used to wear those faded Guess overalls to high school on days when I had an exam or test. That front flap was perfect for hiding notes and a walkman! One day in History class I had to recite The Gettysburg Address by heart. Instead of memorizing it, I recorded it onto a Walkman(yeah, I’m ancient) at a slow speed so I could write it down during the test. So, some beeeotch in class ratted me out and so I had to say the address in front of the whole class while the tape was going in slooooow moootion. Hilarious! Luckily, the teacher was an old bat, so she just let it go and had a Werthers. Anyway, JPG can’t do wrong in my eyes! Two thumbs up!

Stephen Jones (above) , Piers Atkinson (below)

If you want a hat that really makes a statement, call on these two magnificent milliners, Stephen Jones and Piers Atkinson. Each has their own unique sense of style- Jones with an elegant, vintage flair with a touch of quirk and Atkinson with an outlandish, offbeat style that can be eccentric. Both are breathtaking, in my opinion, and deserve much success for their visionary take on covering a precarious, small space- the head. Having said that, does this give me a license to put a nude Barbie on my head for the next soiree I attend? I think it does! Yessssss!
