Viktor & Rolf,
awesome,
cool

Here are a few looks from the Central Saint Martin’s fashion show featuring designs from this year’s graduates. I see visions of Viktor & Rolf, Klaus Nomi, Avatar, marshmallows, and the (Tr)Olsen Twins in this collective. Now we know what goes on in their dorm rooms. Something involving those listed. Anyway, I actually think I like the puffy, cloud outfit… I would wear that on a plane so I can rest my head on the puffs of awesomeness during the flight. And one can never have too many arm warmers (first photo)- love those! The white boxy cape (third photo) is perfect for cleptos. You could totally jack a microwave with that coat on.

Viktor & Rolf,
awesome,
cool,
givenchy

I really liked this collection because it was really feminine, edgy and modern all at the same time. The purple dress in the second photo is just gorgeous! Reminds me of a more toned down Viktor & Rolf dress. The Mongolian lamb fur in the first photo looks so fluffy and soft…sort of like my cat. Anything that reminds me of my cats in a big plus in my book. I really don’t know what’s up with the lampshade, though. I guess it goes with the edgy territory. Givenchy really impressed me this season.

Viktor & Rolf,
awesome,
cool,
cute

Viktor & Rolf ’s Spring 2010 collection had a cheeky take on the current state of the economy- cut backs on the ball gown. I thought it was remarkably done and once again proves the Dutch duo are geniuses stuck in clones of Dieter’s body. I love the use of tulle in anything! It reminds me of a ballerina, princess, or fairy. Yes, my taste still reflects a 4 year old girl’s fashion sense. I still shop at Gymboree. For myself. Anyway, the show must have spectacular with Róisín Murphy (the women Lady Gaga supposedly steals her looks from) performing during the show. Looking at these photos, try to picture the bolts and bolts of tulle used to create ONE dress- amazing!

Viktor & Rolf,
awesome,
bad ass,
cool

Eva Nyíri, graduate of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Hungary, designed these masterpieces evoking inspirations from Genghis Khan, Victor and Rolf , Gareth Pugh, and the Transformers. Imagine the conversation at that dinner table. Lots of grunts and stares. Anyway, I really like this collection because it is interchangeable and the silhouettes are to die for. Whoever wearing this on the street would have everyone crossing the street to the other side to avoid them because it looks so ominous! I especially love the neck brace. I mean, who needs to have peripheral vision? Who? Thought so…

Viktor & Rolf,
awesome,

weird

So, the drug used to prevent Glaucoma, Allergan, contains an active ingredient that makes your lashes grow long and thick. If you don’t have Glaucoma, but want longer and thicker lashes (and possibly a baby with 3 eyes and an extra toe) it should be available in May 2009 and will cost $120 per each month’s supply. Effects don’t start to show for at least 2-3 months.
Riddle me this: Are eye lashes that important to take a drug for it??? That’s why there are mascara, fake lashes, eyeliner, etc. I dunno, I’m fortunate enough to have thick lashes ( but it comes with the hairy, middle eastern territory), so I think this is just dumb. I mean, when I wear eyeglasses, I can’t wear mascara because my eyelashes brush up against my glasses like windshield wipers. Annoying!
For all those with ‘naked eyes’ , I’ve posted the queen of no lashes- Tilda Swinton. She is super cool looking - and she has no lashes whatsoever.
