On one of my recent trips to NYC, I stopped by Henri Bendel (I’ve been going there since I was 13) and saw that they have switched to only accessories, jewelry and handbags. No more clothes and shoes. It’s so sparkley now! My cats would have a ball. Hell, I had a ball! Anyway, I stumbled upon these really cool hats by French hat designer, Selima. Each one is handmade at her studio/boutique on Bond Street in NYC and also is available at Henri Bendel. Selima provided hats for Malandrino’s Spring 2010 Collection and many socialites. Check out her cool site for custom made hats, blog and contact.

Photographer Marc Da Cunha Lopes can sure bring out the spook in a single photo. When I first looked at the photos, I thought it was a little person, but it’s actually a real little girl. I see cookies and candy as a motivator here. Anyway, I appreciate the weird, like a lot. As you may know, my nickname is ‘moosh‘, which means ‘cute’ and ‘mouse‘ in Farsi. I love mice. So, this is just so precious! I love the Amelie reference with the raspberries on the fingers. I think every kid does that. Anyway, check out Marc Da Cunha Lopes‘ site for more fupe photos, including a giant cockroach in a lab, a lady breastfeeding an squid, and a bunny hunting humans. Awesome!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Cheers to a day of green cupcakes, green beer and green vomit! …And a ginge-cat for you!

British designer Louise Gray marches to her own tune and I love it. Full of color, spunk and London street-style, her Fall 2010 collection went against the the other dreary and depressing collections shown at Fashion week. A little Muppet fur never hurt anyone (except muppets, I guess) and adds to the playful, fun collection. I personally would wear the fur overalls because :
a)it’s pink
b) it’s fluffy and cuddly
c) I feel like Animal is close to me
d) it’s pink
Also, It’s great to do some dusting in that outfit. I have a feeling my 4 year old would never let go of me if I wore that. I also predict those weird fetish people into mascots would also never let go of me. I may skip this look, after all.

During Stockholm Fashion’s Week, Bosnian designer Lamija Suljevic showed her latest collection with heavy influences by gypsies, the last Russian Dynasty, and dolls (my FAVORITE!). The heavy brocade and embroidery allow for a structured shape that makes it look so elegant and dignified. This somehow reminds me of Bjork’s album cover for ‘Homegenic’. Both look like uncomfortable Royals looking to take a dump before the next feast- Hawt! Or they just look like living dolls. These dresses are perfect for that boring dinner party. You could stash an iPod, Vogue magazine, Reese’s Pieces (E.T candy) , a couple kittens, and a pot of tea under those skirts. That’s all I need for a nice evening- I know, I’m such a cheap date.

Horseback riding, Gibson girls, and vintage Charles James gowns gave John Galliano his inspiration for his couture show. I am a big fan of the horseback-riding look, all the way down to the riding crop. I think it’s an elegant sport, and horses are just so majestic and gentle. So naturally, I loved this collection. If I had a horse, it would be a white Arabian stallion. I would put a pink rhinestoned, unicorn horn on it for special occasions, like my birthday. I would name the horse Mr. Moosh. Basically, it would be my cat, Mr. Marmar as a horse. I’m way off track here, but yes, I do think things through. Galliano is officially on my ‘Never can do eff up’ list.

Karl the Kaiser did it again! Friggin’ fantastic collection! The heart hair is what life is all about for me now. I’m still figuring out how to do that to my hair. I totally need to streak my hair with hair mascara! Lagerfeld introduced a pastel range of colors similar to Laduree’s famous (and scrumptious) macaroons. Not a tinge of gold could be found; only silver slivers and specks creating a fresh, modern look to a half century- old classic suit. If I had ten thumbs, they would all be pointing up for Karl Lagerfeld! The groom’s suit is worthy of a nice baked potato at Ponderosa, however.

Here’s a round up of cool stuff for under $25 for Valentine’s Day from Brooklyn boutique, Fred Flare. I thought $25 is the bare minimum your boyfriend should spend if he’s expecting some sort of action Sunday night. Seriously… no excuses.
1) Lips bandages- give that boo boo a kiss!
2)Heart necklace and Key - so junior high…. I love it.
3) Heart ring filled with sprinkles (or Jimmies)
4) If you’re too broke to buy a rose, use this paper mouth/rose mask to swoon your lover.
5) ‘I Heart Macaroons’ book- these are crazy delicious treats from France. Make some yourself.
6) A Gummy Heart- Because an anatomical heart is just so appetizing…
7) A stuffed anatomical heart- so you know what a happy heart should look like.
Voila! I think my Valentine this year will be my cat, Mr. Marmar. I usually I shape his cat food into a heart and light candles around his food bowl. Go ahead, call me a romantic! (FYI- That’s not my gorgeous Mr. Marmar below- but she’s still adorable!)

Designer Nikki of WhiMSY love is my new favorite designer! She took a bunch of moving boxes and made these trompe l’oeil pieces of furniture for one of her visiting guests. This mildew-riffic basement (it looks like it could smell of mothballs and grandma) was turned into a Parisian penthouse! Ok, not really, but it looks pretty awesome. She cut out a headboard, side table with vase, a picture frame, lamp, a clock, and used a box as a nightstand. Then, she painted it with black paint and made it fancy and stuff. Then she added an air mattress and some pillows. Her guests have it pretty good- I stick my guests in my walk-in closet and call it a day.

Designer Dora Abodi from Budapest showed her Spring 2010 collection in New York recently. I totally appreciate the quirky, fupeness mixed with a dash of cute. Any collection that utilizes my mantra color, pink, is on my hit list. (Not in a Soprano’s kind of hit, by the way.) Anyway, girly and avant-garde, Dora seriously needs to call a ho at Barney’s or Opening Ceremony. This would be perfect for those stores. Check out her website for the cool intro page featuring a hot chick twitching as if she has Tourette’s. The deconstructed hand muff is pretty awesome! Perfect excuse for when you don’t want to shake hands with anybody.

I came across these fantastic design ideas that I thought would be a shame not to share with your ass. My favorite is the first photo of the purple tables making an entire wall unit. It looks so whimsical and cute. And I bet you could find furniture like that at Sal’s Boutique. You would just have to saw down a few legs, paint it and bolt it to the wall. Actually, that sounds like a lot of effing work. Shoes are always a dilemma with me. At the moment, my shoes are on the floor of my walk-in closet, so they are vulnerable to cat vomit and piss ( The guilty is Miss Darcheen). I already found a pair of my Moschino kitten heels covered in an expelled hairball. How ironic. Anyway, the hutch would solve that problem. That book night stand is perfect for Sarah Palin. Who reads books anyway? I threw in a belt side table for all the gimps out there.
