Although he has done collaborations here and there, Jeremy Scott made a comeback after 7 years with this Fall 2010 collection that echoed NYC street wear with clever, tongue and cheek details. This collection reminded me a little of Moschino back in ‘The Nanny‘ days. That’s a good thing. The cardboard cut-outs are brilliant, except I would paste a picture of a tabloid sweetheart on the head of the silhouette. Why? Because it’s damn funny. I wonder how you sit in that…. how does that work? For that hanger dress, you need your own personal Farnsworth Bentley to carry that around for you… or if you’re trying to save some bucks in this crappy economy, I guess you could hang it from your ponytail. The main thing is Jeremy’s back.
Happy Persian New Year to all the Persian cats (and people)!

On one of my recent trips to NYC, I stopped by Henri Bendel (I’ve been going there since I was 13) and saw that they have switched to only accessories, jewelry and handbags. No more clothes and shoes. It’s so sparkley now! My cats would have a ball. Hell, I had a ball! Anyway, I stumbled upon these really cool hats by French hat designer, Selima. Each one is handmade at her studio/boutique on Bond Street in NYC and also is available at Henri Bendel. Selima provided hats for Malandrino’s Spring 2010 Collection and many socialites. Check out her cool site for custom made hats, blog and contact.

Photographer Marc Da Cunha Lopes can sure bring out the spook in a single photo. When I first looked at the photos, I thought it was a little person, but it’s actually a real little girl. I see cookies and candy as a motivator here. Anyway, I appreciate the weird, like a lot. As you may know, my nickname is ‘moosh‘, which means ‘cute’ and ‘mouse‘ in Farsi. I love mice. So, this is just so precious! I love the Amelie reference with the raspberries on the fingers. I think every kid does that. Anyway, check out Marc Da Cunha Lopes‘ site for more fupe photos, including a giant cockroach in a lab, a lady breastfeeding an squid, and a bunny hunting humans. Awesome!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Cheers to a day of green cupcakes, green beer and green vomit! …And a ginge-cat for you!

Here are a few looks from the Central Saint Martin’s fashion show featuring designs from this year’s graduates. I see visions of Viktor & Rolf, Klaus Nomi, Avatar, marshmallows, and the (Tr)Olsen Twins in this collective. Now we know what goes on in their dorm rooms. Something involving those listed. Anyway, I actually think I like the puffy, cloud outfit… I would wear that on a plane so I can rest my head on the puffs of awesomeness during the flight. And one can never have too many arm warmers (first photo)- love those! The white boxy cape (third photo) is perfect for cleptos. You could totally jack a microwave with that coat on.

So, I recently took a trip back to NYC for my other other work and decided to take photos of the stuff I love in NYC. I went to the Tim Burton exhibit at MOMA and was planning to take photos and video for you guys until some lady with the Bronx claws decided to stop me. Sorry, I tried, people. The first photo was all I could get. It was the weekend of the big blizzard which wasn’t actually that bad- but I didn’t have to drive , so maybe it was bad for everyone else? Duuno. Anyway, I always wanted to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. Even though I’ve been to NYC 5, 460,197 times, the opportunity never came up- until now. I had to share with you the ‘Hell, yes’ building. There you go. The bakery above is Lady M- only the most deliscioussssss Mille Crepe is served there. It’s like 100 crepes stacked between a bevy of cream and then ‘creme bruleed’ on top- soooooo yum. I actually dream about this. And here’s a cheezy myspace -style photo of me taken my me to show you how I actually dress. Now it’s your turn to make fun of my outfit!

vivienne westwood

Vivienne Westwood just gave us a license to mismatch our outfits! Take that Fashion Police! For her Fall 2010 collection, she got back to her punk roots with plaids, kilts and crackhead hair. I love that. I also love the trompe l’oeil boobs in the first photo. Perfect for the ladies with mosquito bites but don’t wanna put fun bags under their skin. In all seriousness (yes, I can get serial!), this is what I (try to) dress like everyday damn day- the ‘high-end punk’ look. You know, the glamourous lady that could eff you up in a back alley with a pair of rhinestoned brass knuckles from Patricia Field’s if need be. Viv is back! Hurray!

M.A.C artist Karin Stone developed this rad makeup to make you look like a real comic book girl from those paintings by Roy Lichtenstein. If you’re gonna do this, make sure the red dots are in order or you’ll look like you have chicken pox. It’s totally a fine line. Also, you will probably be a geek magnet, like beyond geek. You’ll probably have a line of geeks and nerds following you everywhere. Bring your taser, just in case. This reminds me of that exhibition at The Met, Superheroes. I wrote an article on it back in 2007. Read it here, if you care. I think that yellow- blonde hair is next on my roster after I wear out this red. What do you think?

Check out this photo shoot in Interview by photographer Craig McDean and stylist Karl Templer. I love this because it looks like the graffiti the deep, dark and depressed dude would draw on their Chucks in American History class in high school. Seriously, I was the Queen of Doodling. I would draw effed up stuff that would make a handwriting expert’s head explode into a million pieces. I mostly drew girls with large heads and sour faces wearing couture with bows and sh*t and fluffy kittens. Basically, I was drawing Betsey Johnson/Bobble head/ Rene Zellweger hybrids. Anyway, going back to this spread, the eyes all sorts of creepy.

During Stockholm Fashion’s Week, Bosnian designer Lamija Suljevic showed her latest collection with heavy influences by gypsies, the last Russian Dynasty, and dolls (my FAVORITE!). The heavy brocade and embroidery allow for a structured shape that makes it look so elegant and dignified. This somehow reminds me of Bjork’s album cover for ‘Homegenic’. Both look like uncomfortable Royals looking to take a dump before the next feast- Hawt! Or they just look like living dolls. These dresses are perfect for that boring dinner party. You could stash an iPod, Vogue magazine, Reese’s Pieces (E.T candy) , a couple kittens, and a pot of tea under those skirts. That’s all I need for a nice evening- I know, I’m such a cheap date.

Sarah Williams designed these fantastic luggage pieces that are super-limited edition. Seriously, if I had to choose between Louis Vuitton and this, I would choose this because it is so unique and seems like it is so meticulously crafted. Plus, every time I see Louis Vuitton luggage, I think of JLo’s butt. I love the new shapes especially the horseshoe-shaped luggage and the old-timey brass and leather execution is so cool. The prices are available upon request, but I’m guessing they’re expensive because each is handmade completely- stitch by stitch. I wonder if I can take one of my dad’s briefcases and bend it in half and blow dry it with hot heat- that would be the welfare version of this. Forget it, it’s gonna look all effed up. Better wait until I save my pennies for this.
