Ali Berman has been a devoted animal rights activist since she was 11 years old and decided to stop eating animals. She has continuously altered and tweaked her life to make more compassionate decisions. And not just for animals. Being veg isn’t just a change in diet. It’s a way of looking at the world. Ali loves sharing the ways she has discovered to be a better global citizen with others. And living veg has been the arrow pointing the way to a more humane life.

Two years ago Ali was fortunate enough to find a position at Animal Welfare Trust. She developed a website called Club SAGA for students interested in forming animal rights clubs in their schools. She also spends much of her time doing work for H.E.A.R.T., a humane education organization that teaches children about issues affecting people, animals and the environment. Ali also has another blog called Swanky Veg that focuses on vegan fashion. The blog helps female consumers find animal free options for the styles they love.

While working in the animal welfare world, Ali is also getting her masters in fiction at Sarah Lawrence College. She has just completed her first novel.
