Interior Spaces: Guinness Storehouse
Wednesday, May 6th, 2009While we were in Dublin, Ireland we were fortunate enough to be able to check out the Guinness Storehouse. While going to school for interior design we always had to have an overarching concept and we had to carry that concept throughout the entire building. So I was especially ecstatic when I realized that the Guinness Factory was converted into a very large Guinness Pint Glass!
Here is their preliminary process drawings and model. Do you see the large Pint Glass in the sketch?

Click to enlarge this panoramic view of the very top.
This is their wine cellar. I love the little shelves for each of the wine bottles.
They hold events here and this is one of the rooms it can be held in.
The first few floors explains the process of their beer making. They are very proud of their Guinness here!
Check that out!
This was the one picture that was taken by me and I am sitting at this bar that is wrapped around the “Guinness Pint Glass”.
This was the more quieter bar. Love the exposed brick!
The man who took the photograph told us to smile real big! :) This is located at the very top of the Pint Glass. Ryan actually noticed before me that the ceiling is this really cool bubbly looking ACT to represent the foam at the top of the Guinness. Very clever!
If you ever get a chance to go to Ireland than I highly recommend checking out this very cool building.
