dwellings and décor

Normally I am a huge fan of almost every interior design style. One of the styles I have the hardest time with is eclectic. I am a designer who likes things cohesive and harmonious and it can be difficult to accomplish this with eclectic furniture and decor. I think when it is done right it can come out quite unexpectedly beautiful. For example this home designed by Alan Tanksley has contemporary, modern, traditional,and rustic but it still holds a nice balance of natural colors and wood tones throughout and it becomes harmonious through color and texture instead of style. I am surprised I love it so much.
