Before & After: My Bedroom!
Monday, April 13th, 2009You may think I am crazy to paint and redo my bedroom a week before my wedding but sometimes when I get a little fire under my butt I can get a lot done! We are having guests stay with us and they will be staying in our bedroom when we are gone so I wanted our bedroom to look really special because they are on vacation! It isn’t quite where I want it to be but it is definitely getting there and boy does paint make a huge difference.
My dear friend Anita Marci painted these beautiful banana paintings for us as a wedding present and she actually used my paint swatch and that little bolster pillow as color inspiration. She even had the cleverist idea to put books underneath our table lamps that are quite small for the side tables so they feel much more balanced. The tables and lamps were given to me so although I am not crazy about them they are here to stay until I find and can afford the right ones. My bedroom is actually a loft type space so where you see the drapery is where you look down into the living room so I really wanted to provide some privacy while our guests were here as well. I can actually sleep in in this bedroom now because it can get really dark which I have to say I really like.

WOW, what a difference the green makes! it just steps it up such a notch. and those paintings are awesome and tie in very well with the new colors. it looks great.
not stop worrying about decor and go get married, girl! ;)
