Unfortunately Twolia will no longer be keeping their blogs and so that means no more dwellings and decor or Design Lovely on Twolia. However you can still find me on my other blog Lovely Clusters through blogger. I have been working on for the last 6 months or so. I will be posting more interior shots and fabulous home decor sites on that blog from now on. I hope that you will follow me over there! :)

Also dwellings and decor will be open for a little while but I am not sure for how long so I highly recommend looking through the archives for inspiration! If you have our mini banner for either of my Twolia Blogs please contact me about exchanging blog banners with my other blog Lovely Clusters. Email me at follettdesign@gmail.com
Thank you Twolia for giving me the opportunity to blog with you! I wish you the best of luck!

I just received an email from the lovely Kirsten from Simply Grove about The Modern Thanksgiving Table-scape contest she entered on Dwell Studio! Look how pretty it is!

I love how clean and serene it feels. Not overdone. Just the essentials. I absolutely adore the seating and how they are all different and fun! I think she did such a great job. If you want to see all the finalist go to dwellstudio.com/Blog (just scroll down a bit) and if you want to vote for Kirsten CLICK HERE>>
Good luck Kirsten!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! My mom went all out made the best Turkey ever! So moist and tender. We are still eating it! As usual my mom was quite the hostess and decorated the table and served us cocktails and appetizers just like how my grandparents used to make them. It was great to spend the holiday with family. Hope yours was great!

Loving these pretty items from the modern and fun furniture and decor company called Zone Maison. My favorites are their pillows and wall decor. Apparently they have a store in the historical byward market area and it has a lot of delightful things for your home. I read that they have some really cool chandeliers and other hanging lights, pillows, candles, picture frames, dishes, etc. They have several stores and they are located in Plateau, Westmount, Côte-des-neiges, Québec, & Ottawa.
Check out their website for more info: http://zonemaison.com

I really love how you could easily transform the feel of this space by adding a different colored tablecloth and candles. The lavender color is a great choice but it might be a little girly for some people and so by adding a blue or even a brown tablecloth could make it feel a little more masculine. The details in this space are really nice including the more simpler chandelier that feels well proportionate. A really large chandelier may feel too overwhelming. The architecture including the ceiling beams and fireplace and wainscoting is perfect with this french styled furniture. Isn’t is lovely?

I am really fascinated with wallpaper right now. Mainly what you can do with it other than put it on your wall. Being a paper junkie I have started to collect vintage wallpaper and I have been making little jotters with them. Eventually I would love to add beautiful furniture to traditional pieces of furniture to give it a new life like the ones shown here from Bryonie Porter. My jotters are just a baby step for now. :) Hopefully one of these days I will tackle this project. I really love the pattern choices and this knobs are so cool. Very fun and and a little quirky!

Talk about turning a space into a completely new one! How cool is this?
I saw this the other day on Ish and Chi and I was totally blown away by the beauty of this space. I love the elegant chandeliers and all the windows. No need for paint, there is instant green for the background from all the wonderful foliage of the yard. The balance of the nature and outdoors with the french styled furniture and decor is just exquisite and so refreshing! Isn’t it heavenly?

How lovely would it be to crawl out of bed and get into this bathtub to wake up for the day with the sun shining in? After the bath you have a lovely robe to slip on and then you sit down at your pretty vanity and put on makeup and your perfume and any other necessary beauty to dos. Some of the details that I love about this space is the bubbly light fixture above the tub and that wallpaper is beautifully subtle and the long plum velvet drapery that floods on the gorgeous wood parquet flooring. Swoon!

I actually had a really hard time choosing these images from the past week. I had so many to choose from and so many different color schemes going on. I eventually chose a few of my very favorite spaces and found others that looked nicely with them. The sky blue with plums and black never felt like it was competing together and so thus helped me make my final decision to choose these amazing rooms!
