When in doubt, keep it simple. That’s where the traditional yet tasty, good old G & T, comes in handy. Other than a basic Vodka/Cranberry recipe or opening a can of beer, I can’t think of anything more simplistic than Gin & Tonic. This makes a great drink to unwind after a busy day or week. It’s also great to keep these materials on hand for surprise visitors.

So, grab yourself any available glass and let’s get mixing!

2 oz gin
5 oz tonic water
1 lime wedge
Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour the gin and tonic water over the ice. Stir. Squeeze as much lime as desired in the glass. I like mine tart and tangy!

What? Like two minutes passed and you already have a drink. It’s so easy!

pineapple patron tequilaA few weeks ago, I was at the San Diego Film Festival and (lucky me) Patrón was a majah [sic] sponsor! Our all access passes included the daily chill-out zone: The GQ/Patrón Lounge.  They served this drink, which made some of the really bad films almost bearable.

I asked for the recipe and wanted to share it with you, because it’s so easy to make.

* 1 oz. Patrón Silver tequila
* 1/4 oz. Patrón Citrónge orange liqueur
* Fresh pineapple juice
* Lime squeeze

Preparation:

1. Pour Patrón Silver and Patrón Citrónge over ice.
2. Fill with pineapple juice.
3. Finish with a squeeze of lime.

mojito

If you want to make me really happy, make me a minty mojito that’s not too sweet. Mojitos are urban, sexy and the perfect drink to help you cool down after a long week at the office. Sit back, relax, and before you know it…problems will be small blips on the radar.

What you’ll need:

  • Rum
  • Mint
  • Sugar
  • Lime
  • Soda water (I’ve also had with ginger ale)
  • Ice

I’m not writing step-by-step instructions because this video does a fabulous job of explaining how to make a mojito. Enjoy the recipe and trivia! :-)
