The other day I purchased my very first BlackBerry. Along with that BlackBerry came my very own unwritten and unspoken rules about usage. Most of these rules quickly went down the tube. Here’s why some rules are just MADE to be broken:
Rule #1: Never use BlackBerry in bed.
Broken: Day 2.
My first morning of official Blackberry ownership, I used the device to wake me up. After turning off the alarm, I paused. Should I check my email? No. I promised myself I would absolutely NOT be one of those people checking work email from bed. But…oh, just this once I quickly decided. This is when my first rule was broken.
My very first morning as a BlackBerry owner, I checked my email from bed. There you have it. I did it. It became official…Rule #1 was broken! Upon checking my email via CrackBerry, I quickly saw that I didn’t have any of the pressing emails I was expecting.
Here’s why this rule was meant to be broken: Back to sleep for me! I reset the alarm and was able to get an extra half hour of sleep! A dream come true for a small business owner. Call me a CrackBerry addict if you want…but I love any device that will help me get a little extra shut eye.
Ok ladies.
I did it.
I actually DID IT.
I swore I never would.
But I just did.
I bought it.
I bought a Black CrackBerry. My phone has been almost breaking for the past 7 months. I’m not sure how I was able to keep it alive for as long as I did. The phone fell apart so many times. Each and every time I was able to put it back together again and *poof* it would work. It really was the phone with 9 lives. Until Tuesday night when it fell halfway apart and there was no way I could put its sad little shell back together.
Now I’m on to blacker pastures with my Blackberry. Only mine is pink. Diva Mogul pink.
I swore I would never go there, but I finally did. To tell you the truth, I honestly think I’ll save time instead of wasting time. I spend a lot of the time driving and meeting with clients. If I’m meeting with a few clients far from my house, there are some days when I get back very late. Arriving so late at night and then having to catch up with daily tasks on my computer is no fun at all. Finding free wi-fi zones between meetings in areas I don’t know so well isn’t always convenient either. Now I can quickly send and receive emails between meetings, thus maximizing my free time at home!
