Drugstore VS Department Store: Gel Eye Liners….
Monday, February 1st, 2010
Calling all Bobbi Brown Long Wearing Gel Liner and MAC Fluid line Eye Liner addicts!!! I happened on Maybelline’s Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eye Liner last trip out to Walmart. SO happy drugstore brands are catching on to what I need. Granted Maybelline’s color selection doesn’t even come close to the department store brands (just your basic black, brown, charcoal and purple), but the quality is THERE. Lasting Drama Gel Liners also come with a brush that is keeper (although I prefer using an angled brush for my gels).
I thought the Maybelline gel liner wore just as well as their more expensive counterparts ( these bad boys will run you around $7 bucks vs the $15 department store)….AND you can pick it up while you are buying laundry detergent. NICE, real NICE.
Be Beautiful Y’all….
So I hate to say it, but I never got to try
I love nothing more than when “mass-tige” lines come out with niche products you thought only department store lines (prestige) could carry. Tell me if you picked either of these guys up…..Come on, I can’t buy it all…Ah, the wants vs needs thing again.
So whether you like to go funky and fab with your nail polish or not, the fashion world was all a-buzz at the shows this fall with
I love being a nail trend victim because I can afford a new polish but not always a new outfit, ya know?
These two primers are both semi-transparent gels with almost the exact same consistency. Both contain the lovely light-reflecting particles that add life back to dull skin. The only difference would be that I would say the Prescriptives primer might be a tad bit moisturizing…But considering the Prescriptives primer is only available while supplies last (sniff, sniff), you might want to make a move. I’m just sayin’.
