Oscar Beauty: Why YOU need Hi-Def….
So did you watch last night? Sandra Bullock won hands down (on all fronts) for me with her classic red lip and stunning pink cheeks. While her makeup may have not been exactly innovative, there’s something to be said for Old School glamour..no?
But MY favorite part of the evening was BEFORE the shows…watching the stars walk the red carpet…sans the million dollar lighting and fancy camera lens. I FINALLY get what Hi-Def is all about. It was so great to see what the stars REALLY looked like, wrinkles and age spots and all. And the best part? They didn’t look “worse” they just looked “real”….a breath of fresh air for all of us who dare to compare!

i thought the same thing while watching the red carpet! high def is amazing. i thought cameron diaz looked great, even though you could see some of her old acne scarring. and it’s amazing how you can tell who has had botox and who hasn’t!

I thought Sandra looked fabulous too. She was my absolute favorite. I love red lips with dark hair and eyes for some reason. Her hair was gorgeous and her dress was stunning.

So true! I totally agree with best dressed. She looked absolutely stunning! I really love the comparison with how many wrinkles they actually have and how many are airbrushed for magazine covers.
Makes a girl feel good.

I know. I will NEVER look at the Garnier Fructis commercials with Sarah Jessica without a chuckle AGAIN. Talk about airbrushing…it’s getting ridiculous. I mean, I so love SJ but she’s letting them set her up. None of us will EVER compare to the “unreal”…but at least she’s padding her bank account I guess.
