Two things I have done to economize - ask for high priced beauty items for special occasions (birthdays, X-mas, anniversary) and also really looking into drugstore alternatives to the more expensive things I love!

I try to stick with drugstore alternatives and try to buy when they are on sale. I also try to put off buying higher end products that I am coveting until I forget that I want them.

i do my own nails and dye my hair in my bathroom. my sister also cuts my hair, and does a really good job!

I use Olay Regenerist products, wash my hair only twice a week, mani/pedis once a month, shave - don’t wax, trim my own bangs.

I do my own hair color with L’Oreal Feria. It has the best conditioner that comes with the kit.

I’m trying not to spend so much on makeup (it’s hard, though, because I haven’t been “into” it for very long, so I’m still building up a workable color set). I’m also entering giveaways for things that I might buy, and then convincing myself if I didn’t win it that I don’t need it

I do scrimp on my hair products and I try to find a cheaper alternative for skincare products. However, finding different skincare products usually proves to be difficult because my skin is so sensitive/reactive!

Luckily, my addiction to the Vitamin E stick doesn’t burn a hole in my pocket - so I just use more of it when the weather turns blustery. It keeps me well moisturized, especially around the eyes. As for economizing, online skin care stores and e-coupon codes are a girl’s best friend.

I switch off from my fave Aveda shampoo and conditioner on my “off” days, or work days when I just don’t care.
When my hair needs to look good, though, I reach for that combo! I’ve also been doing my own toes more often, even though I haaaate doing it myself. Plus now I make sure to do inventory before I go to Sephora so I don’t wind up with yet another bronze eyeshadow.

I hate to say it but I, shock!, don’t wear makeup when I’m not leaving the house, which is quite often these days. I’ve never been a mani/pedi girl and I’m sticking to getting all my new makeup through MakeupAlley Swaps. I get rid of the stuff I don’t want or no longer use and get stuff that I love. It’s a win-win.

Well, I never skimp on hair, so to make up for it - no more mani/pedi’s. I do them at home. I also use Suave shower gel (cheap and smells great). I am also getting equally good results with Olay Regenerist vs. more expensive skin care lines!

I’m economizing in every way I can. Both my husband and I are job-hunting right now…..I’ve had to only buy essentials at the grocery/drug store. I do my own nails and use less products overall. When our situation changes, I think I’ll buy one or two “quality” items. I’m looking forward to it
Thanks!
