Latisse Love: Grow your lashes and save some dough…..
So, if you’ll remember back..I managed to get my hands on a complimentary prescription of Latisse (and you could’ve too if you read me and live close to the Big “D”) . Well, I’m too lazy THIS morning to get it together enough to take a picture for you of my OWN new lush lashes, but I have to tell you they ARE pretty amazing ( if I do say so myself). The best part? Latisse lashes make the chore of applying mascara way more exciting. I love seeing how much longer/thicker my lashes get each day (it’s the little things..).

So I managed to extend my 4-Week prescription to about 6-Weeks…and here’s how:

1. Buy your own wands. For some reason the disposable wands that come with Latisse seem to DRINK up the drops. I found I had to use at least 2 drops to get good coverage and then the excess just went in the garbage with the wand! (and is it REALLY necessary to burden our already over-flowing landfills with those wands..not sure about that one). So after I ran out, I went to Sally’s and bought their Face Secrets Professional Disposable Lip Brushes ($2.99). Well, it made the tale end of my Latisse ’script go WAY longer…the liquid stays on top of the bristles so you only need one drop vs two!
2. When you can’t get anymore liquid out, take the top off….There’s at LEAST a week’s worth of drops left in that bottle…(there’s something to be said for “scraping the bottle of the barrel”, my friends)!!
3. Now I’ve only read this online from various sources, but I’ve heard that once your lashes are the length you desire, maintenance only requires an application every THIRD night (I haven’t tried this yet, so I’ll let you know).

4. Once you get your lashes where you want them you can maintain the new growth with RevitaLash. Sources say that one $150 dollar tube can last you at least 6 months (vs $150 a month for Latisse). RevitaLash contains the same active ingredient as Latisse….. Although the girls at my dermatologist’s office seem to think that while RevitaLash gives your lashes amazing length, Latisse seems to increase length AND thickness. So it sounds like I need to get my hands on some RevitaLash my beauties!
Are you Latisse or RevitaLash fan? Did you have side effects (I just had some minor itchiness the first few nights)? Do tell….
Be Beautiful Y’all..
