Get Your Glow On: The Brazilian Peel from A.H.A.
So I’ve have one professional chemical peel in my life….Did it work? I couldn’t tell you because the peel combined with microdermabrasion left my poor face with such bad road rash it took at least a week to heal. Imagine rug burn….on your FACE!!! So when I was sent the Brazilian Peel Facial Resurfacing System by Advanced Home Actives($135) to try a few weeks ago I was tad bit scared (even though I know several of you SWEAR by at home glycolic peels)….What can I say, I am a fear-based individual.
The Brazilian Peel says it’s the first at-home, medical-strength glycolic peel….5′xs stronger than any other peels that have been developed thus far for at-home use….promising to give you professional results for hundreds of dollars less!!!
What did I think? Well, you know how superstitious I get about my face…As soon as I finish writing this I will probably breakout in a mountain-range (knock on wood), but since it’s my job to review beauty products (I know, don’t you hate me?) I have to say…My face looks better than it has in a REALLY,REALLY long time…..I’ve not had one breakout since the first peel 2 weeks ago and my skin just looks brighter and plumper!!!

The Brazilian Peel ($110) tingles for the first few seconds you leave it on the skin, but after that it is smooth sailing….(and there’s even enough to get the back of your hands if you have grandmothers now, like moi). The peel does it’s job in 10 minutes and afterward my face felt like a baby’s bottom….super clean, shiny but not stripped or irritated in any way!

And I am SO loving the Smart Start Acai Glycolic Cleansing Cream ($40). I’ve been using in the am and it really seems to clear my skin of extra oil and gunk without irritating or drying it out a bit (imagine that). Tip: I’ve been making sure to massage into my face gently with my fingertips for AT least 30 seconds.

Topping it all off are the Quick & Bright Booster Pads ($60)…These pads are used daily to maintain the results of the weekly peel…I’ve been using them in the morning in place of my toner and am loving the results…Can you say MD Skincare Alpha Beta Peel anyone??? (but less expensive with quicker results..).
In summary, if you feel like your skin needs some extra TLC lately, you are STILL acne-prone, sensitive or oily then The Brazilian Peel by At Home Actives is SO for you…. The kit comes with 4 weekly peels ($110), Smart Start Acai Gycolic Cleansing Cream ($40) and Quick and Bright Daily Booster Pads ($60)…all for $135…An amazing value. I am totally looking forward to using the system two more weeks and seeing how it helps handle my lovely monthly, hormonal mountain range (maybe it will be more like hills and valley this month?)….Stay tuned!
Be Beautiful Y’all…

Girl, I don’t want to jinx myself but I am STUNNED by the difference in my skin…( I did my third peel last night). I really think the combo of all the products are keeping my pores unclogged..(well that and the Solodyn and Triluma).
I highly,highly recommend this stuff!!!!
