Fall Preview: Bobbi Brown Fall 2009 Nudes Collection…
Hot enough for ya? Here in Dallas the thermometer isn’t supposed to get below 96 degrees for the next 7 days…Geez! So when I got word that Bobbi had already come up with her Fall 2009 Nude Collection (hitting counters next month), I got to dream a little of cooler weather.
According to Bobbi, “Nude makeup doesn’t mean monochromatic,barely-there makeup. It means makeup that is right for your skin”...So even though these pallets are neutral in color, the drama you can create with it (esp. the shadows) is anything but boring!
Bobbi’s Fall 2009 Nudes Collection includes:
The Nude Eye Pallete ($60 for 6 shades)
The Nude Shimmer Brick ($40)..I have this one and it is a fabulous all-over highlighter!
Caviar Ink Longwear Gel Eyeliner ($21)….I always keep my kit stocked with her gel liners and can’t wait to get this shade.
4 New Shades of Creamy Lip Color ($22)
This is a basic collection that everyone “needs” (yeah, right….wants vs needs….)! Be sure to take a peek next time you’re at the mall.

This collection is right up my alley! I wish I could buy all of it, but alas my pockets aren’t that deep. I’ll probably splurge on the shadows. Hopefully there will be another % off event soon!
And I hear you about the heat. It was 93 degrees here in Cali yesterday and I was melting. My 2 1/2 year old and 3 month old didn’t handle it so well either! There’s nothing like hot miserable kids to make me wish for some air conditioning…

Oh Jen…I didn’t know you had two under the age of 3!! Bless your heart….I remember those days….Do what I did in Seattle w/ no AC..keep the windows open as wide as possible at night w/ fans going in front…then shut them tight during the day.
Oh, I bet your 3month old is a peach! Ruby (my littlest) starts K this year…..sad, but hopefully I can work more!

I definitely do what you suggested to keep the house cool! We live in a 85 year old house tho with minimal insulation, so the heat finds its way in regardless. But thankfully days like that are few and far between here; today it was 73 ish and beautiful! That’s my kind of weather…
Wow, kindergarten? What a milestone. You must be happy and sad at the same time that your baby is so big. I know that’s how I’ll feel in a couple of years!
Regarding Illuminare, if you can believe it I’m fairer than their lightest offering (alabaster…something)! My fair skin is a mixed blessing when it comes to makeup.

I love Bobbi Brown and I love this collection! Now I just need to meet you someplace so I can figure out how to use it all! Shimmer Brick for sure….
